Baby Sis

Baby Sis is growing fast, and she's eating to prove it! She is so much like Steven was at that age, and it's fun to watch her grow and try new things. She's starting to actually play on her playmat. She bats at and grabs the toys hanging from it, and she loves to kick her legs against the mirror (which isn't positioned for her to see in it). She still spends half her time on it people watching (usually her big brother) or sleeping, but it is nice to have a place to set her down. I just have to watch Steven very closely when he's playing near her. He doesn't see a problem with sitting on her, especially on her legs!

Michelle is also talking non-stop. This is quite an accomplishment because Steven also talks all day. I can only imagine how much louder our house will be next year! It is so fun to have her standing on our laps and having her tell us all about her day or whatever else she feels like at the time. She just coos away.

She still loves watching her big brother, and he is good at calming her down when she's crying in her carseat before we leave. She thinks he's hilarious and will start crying again when he walks away. It is such a blessing to see the two of them together. I would have never guessed that we would have two kids this close together, but it is worth all the craziness to see them interacting.

"Who is that gorgeous baby in the mirror??"

"Do the pictures ever stop?"

"Yeah, I know I'm cute!"

"Sitting up is definitely over rated!"

Mark and I are so blessed to be parents. For six years, we prayed and waited, but God had already picked out our children in His time, not ours. If we had adopted sooner or chosen to try fertility treatments instead, we would have missed out on so much. We are so thankful for our babies!

He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD. (Psalm 113:9)
